How does Botox | Dysport work?

What you should expect after your Botox or Dysport Treatment:

Real noticeable results! Results may take up to 14 days to fully appear and can last up to 4 months. Botox is particularly effective when used as a preventative treatment so starting Botox® at a younger age will effectively reduce signs of aging as you grow older.

BOTOX^® Cosmetic is not a permanent treatment. If you discontinue treatment the moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines will gradually return.

How much Botox Will I Need?

Each person’s anatomy is different and it is up to your medical provider to determine the proper dosing to give you the results that you are looking for. Botox stops specific muscle movement to eliminate lines, wrinkles, and creases caused by muscle contraction. Some people have much stronger facial muscles than others and require more Neurotoxin to achieve optimal results. This dosage chart gives a rough estimate of dosage for popular treatment areas.

Overactive or imbalanced temporomandibular joints in the jaw can cause a disorder known as TMJ. Side effects of TMJ can include teeth grinding, headaches, pain, and jaw clicking or popping. The muscles responsible for these overactive movements are known as the Masseter and Temporalis. Botox injections can weaken these muscles providing relief directly at the source reducing the unconscious tendency to clench and grind your teeth.
