Gentle Max Pro
Best You MedSpa uses Candela Gentle Max Pro which is widely considered the worlds leading medical hair removal laser used by over 10,000 practices globally. The Gentle Max laser treatment is safe and highly effective for the widest range of skin types and hair colors permanently reducing hair growth with minimal discomfort. During treatment the laser delivers an intense beam of light which is absorbed by the hair follicle and converted to heat. The heat damages the hair follicle specifically around the bulb and bulge preventing further hair growth while surrounding tissue remains unaffected and unharmed. Gentle Max laser hair removal is the most effective way to get rid of unwanted hair for good.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TREATMENT?
Clean and shave the area of treatment prior to your appointment. Do not apply any moisturizer, lotions, or sunscreen to the treatment area the day of your appointment. You must avoid tanning, plucking, or waxing for 6 weeks prior to your treatment.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
Laser packages include 6 treatments which is the required amount for lasting results. We recommend spacing your treatments apart 4-6 weeks. An annual touch up may be required and will be charged at a reduced price.
DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL HURT?
Laser technology has improved dramatically in recent years and the process is far less uncomfortable than it once was. As the Gentle Max Pro pulses to heat and destroy the hair follicle it simultaneously delivers a pulse of cryogen to cool the treatment area. Â
DOES LHR WORK ON BLONDE HAIR?
The laser targets the pigment in the hair follicle and lighter hair colors do not have pigment. Unfortunately LHR does not work on blonde, gray, or red hair colors.
